Well now that Ronaldo has fucked off, who is going to step up and replace all those goals?
Well I personally I think now that he is gone, it is the perfect time for Rooney to show the world that he is the perfect footballer. He can certainly go it. Look at his form with England playing on top, he can certainly score the goals we need next season.
Seems like Tevez wont be sticking around so no doubt Berbatov will be permanent partner for Rooney upfront. It might just work for us as Berbatov does have a habit of making goals for others. Just look at last season which was average at best for Berbatov, yet he still pulled off 10 assists in the league which was joint top with Lampard. If he manages to put a few more goals with that number of assists next season, we will be alright on top.
Valencia, seems to be the man that is going to be on the right. I dont think he is quality, certainly not as good as Ronaldo but he is definitely a hard worker. Just look at his games for Wigan, he tracks back and makes tackles and his crossing is equally good, plus he got loads of pace to burn. I can understand why Ferguson is getting this man. Ronaldo didnt use to track back and watch out the defense and in Europe this forced Rooney to the wings. If we had a winger who was disciplined then surely Rooney got more time on top to get us the goals.
I do believe with Ronaldo leaving, the goals will be a miss but a huge plus would be team morale. His constant b*tching and undermining other talent at the club was certainly a big hit on team morale. His constant showboating also didnt help the team. Hopefully now the team will be more direct.
The team was built around Ronaldo in the last two season. Now I think Fergie has realised it is time to move on from that a built a team around Rooney. Rooney is a much better player than Ronaldo just because he has team work and work ethics, something you rarely associate with Ronaldo. Building a team around a player like Rooney will encourage these same qualities in other players on the field as well.
I know most fans will be devastated to see the back of Ronaldo but I am forward to something more promising at United without him. Even if we dont make big names signings like Ribery or Villa or Silva, I think we will cope and certainly cope enough to push for the Premiership title as well as other trophies.

Not a bad team at all mind you...
